Our warm thanks to the people of Newcastle, UK for organising this benefit event for West Papua, to help raise awareness of Indonesia’s ongoing genocide.
Exiled West Papua independence leader Benny Wenda will be joined by musicians including the Lani Singers, Sir Ramacist and Jah Butcherfari, as well as Free West Papua activists and supporters from Newcastle for this very special night. There will also be a screening of the recently released documentary on the independence struggle in West Papua, ‘Forgotten Bird of Paradise’ introduced by its producer Dominic Brown.

I think this is a good idea. Organizing such an event is not an easy one. But, the most important thing is to spend the money you got through the right way in terms of financing the West Papua independence activities.
